Micro Elements

What are Micro Elements?

Micro elements are essentially what makes a film through the four elements of cinematography, editing, sound and mis-en-scene (props)

Cinematography


camera angles, positions, colour grading, corrections, depth of field, composition, effects, movements and lighting. Basically anything that are scene visually through the eyes.

Editing

How has the sequence been constructed in order to create meaning? continuity editing, sound continuity editing, cuttng, parallel, action, eyeline match, quick cuts

Sound 
Types of sound: Diegetic, non diegetic, in sync, dialogue, commentary, voice overs, soundtrack/score, theme, ambient


Mis-en-scene

Props, costume, facial expressions, performance, interactions
